Capital Area Healthy Start is extremely grateful to have the opportunity to host our annual Walk to Remember once again this year. While the event will take place online to ensure the health and safety of attendees and staff, we are committed to providing a meaningful night of hope and healing for all.
As we gear up for the quickly approaching Walk to Remember, Healthy Start is here to give you more information on what’s to come on October 8.
Our Walk to Remember is held in October each year to observe National Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day. The Walk to Remember serves as a memorial event for those experiencing the unimaginable and heartbreaking loss of a pregnancy or an infant in support of grieving local parents and families. No matter how much time has passed since your loss, Healthy Start is here to provide you with a night of comfort, wisdom, and hope at no cost.
While we will gather virtually this year, our plans for the night have not changed. The virtual event will include a non-denominational service, a reading of babies’ names, stories of hope and healing as well as a moment of silence.
As a Coalition, we hold the Walk to Remember very close to our hearts. We encourage all local parents, families, and their friends to join us for this night of support.
To register, head to the 2020 Walk to Remember page. Here you will find more information on the event as well as the registration form. Please note, you must register in advance to attend the event.
We hope to see you on October 8!
