Every Baby Deserves a Healthy Start!
Healthy Start is a home visiting program that provides one-on-one support throughout a woman’s pregnancy. This FREE program is designed to meet the unique needs of each participant to ensure that every baby has a healthy start.
This program is available to any pregnant women, infants, and families with children under 3 living in Leon or Wakulla Counties.
To enroll, please fill out the Florida Prenatal Screen offered to all pregnant women on their first prenatal visit and to newborns at the hospital or birth center. If you are not offered the Florida Prenatal Screen — ask for it. If the screen shows you or your baby could benefit from Healthy Start services, a Healthy Start Home Visitor will contact you. Even if your pregnancy does not qualify as high-risk, you can ask to be referred or refer yourself on our website by filling out the form below.
