Simply Healthcare has awarded funding to Capital Area Healthy Start, Healthy Start Coalition of Santa Rosa, Chipola Healthy Start Coalition, Healthy Start Okaloosa-Walton, Escambia County Healthy Start, and Gadsden County Healthy Start Coalition to train Doulas in our local Areas. This Doula workforce development project is also in partnership with The Doula Network, Indian River Healthy Start Coalition, and Birth, Education, Advocacy & Mentorship (BEAM).
The funding will provide scholarships for 15 individuals in the Panhandle! The scholarship covers the 3-day course, background screen, and CPR training that is scheduled for February 10th, 11th, and 12th. The 10th will be in the evening. The sessions on the 11th and 12th are all-day sessions.
There will be a mandatory informational session that must be attended prior to the interview. Candidates can attend either the January 3rd or 5th informational session. The time is 6 pm via Zoom. Links will be posted closer to the dates.
